The Diogenes is seen as the “No Talking Club”, and that is what it will strive to be as a tourist attraction. There are not many places dedicated for people who do not wish to be around other people. Aside from this attraction being appealing to Conan Doyle readers, I think people who are unsociable in real life would enjoy this site as well. While reading about the Diogenes Club, the first thing that comes to mind is “huh, a club where you cannot speak, nonsense”. Being that he did not get much exercise besides his walk to and from the Diogenes Club, it only makes sense that the club is also in Pall Mall.Īnyone who has read a Conan Doyle story where he references the Diogenes Club would appreciate having an attraction dedicated to it.
